'DimeVision', PANTERA's 'Three Vulgar Videos From Hell' Get Certified

June 24, 2006

"DimeVision - Vol 1: That's The Fun I Have", the recently released DVD tribute to late PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, has been officially certified gold by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for U.S. shipments of 50,000 units. "That's huge in the world of DVDs!" stated Dimebag's brother and former PANTERA bandmate Vinnie Paul, who released the set via his own Big Vin label. "I wanna thank everyone who has joined in the celebration of Dime's life!!"

In other news, PANTERA's "Three Vulgar Videos from Hell" three-DVD set featuring all the band's videos as well as live footage shot during the Monsters of Rock gig in Moscow, was certified platinum on May 4, 2006 for U.S. shipments of 100,000 units.

Originally released on DVD in 1999, "Three Vulgar Videos from Hell" was recently reissued through Rhino Video, featuring the same content with improved menus and all-new Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound. In fact, it is the first PANTERA release ever in 5.1 Surround Sound. It features: "Cowboys From Hell: The Videos", "Vulgar Video", "3 Watch It Go", and "Pantera Live From Monsters of Rock In Moscow".

As previously reported, Vinnie Paul will be the featured guest on next week's edition of "Headbanger's Ball", airing on Saturday, July 1 at 10:00 p.m. EST.
