DIMMU BORGIR Pulls Of Of BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Due To Illness

August 7, 2019

DIMMU BORGIR has been forced to cancel its appearance at this weekend's Bloodstock Open Air festival due to an illness within the band.

The band said in a statement: "DIMMU BORGIR regrets to inform you that we have to cancel our appearance at this year's Bloodstock due to illness.

"The doctors have ordered full rest for a minimum of one week, and instructed that performing a show this weekend would increase the situation further.

"We are truly sorry about this as we had been looking enormously forward to returning to Bloodstock this year. Enjoy the festival, we will see you again soon!"

Set to take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire, United Kingdom, Bloodstock Open Air will kick off on Thursday (August 8) and run through Sunday (August 11).

DIMMU BORGIR was scheduled to perform on the last day of the festival, just before headliners SCORPIONS.

As a result of DIMMU BORGIR's cancelation, Bloodstock organizers have moved QUEENSRŸCHE up one slot and added BATUSHKA to the bill.

DIMMU BORGIR is continuing to tour in support of its latest album, "Eonian", which was released in May 2018 via Nuclear Blast.
