DIO's 'Moon' Set To Rise A Week Later

August 18, 2004

Despite Sanctuary Records' insistence to the contrary, it is now official that DIO's "Master of the Moon" CD will indeed arrive in stores a week later than originally anticipated. According to PR firm Gigante Media, you can grab DIO's latest September 7 in North America. SPV are still planning on issuing the effort in Europe on August 30.

30-second audio samples of all 10 tracks from "Master of the Moon" have been posted online at this location. The follow-up to 2002's "Killing the Dragon" was recorded at a Los Angeles studio and features lyrics that are "cynical" and "political", with the music being a mixture of up-tempo and doomy tracks, according to frontman Ronnie James Dio.
