DISFEAR: Norwegian Dates Cancelled

September 18, 2008

DISFEAR — the Swedish "crust rock" outfit featuring former AT THE GATES/THE CROWN vocalist Tomas Lindberg and ex-ENTOMBED guitarist Ulf "Uffe" Cederlund — has issued the following update:

"We are sorry to announce that we are forced to cancel our imminent Norwegian dates due to our drummer Marcus Andersson having sustained a shoulder injured. The injury was caused by overexertion and Marcus will have to rest for 3-4 weeks to prevent further injury or permanent and more serious damage.

"We are really sad and disappointed for not being able to make it to Norway this time around. Cancelling these shows was a very hard decision and we apologize to organizers and everyone who was planning to attend the shows.

"We are looking into the possibility of moving the dates into the not-so-distant future."

DISFEAR recently announced a number of European tour dates in support of its latest CD, "Live The Storm". The band will begin this fall tour with a run of dates in Germany with fellow Swedes VICTIMS. From there, DISFEAR will join up with Massachusetts' DOOMRIDERS for a two-week, 11-country trek.

Marcus Andersson commented on the upcoming tour: "Once again we team up with our brothers in DOOMRIDERS and hit the road. But this time on our side of the Atlantic! We've been looking forward to this for quite some time now and we're stoked that it’s finally happening."
