DISILLUSION Preparing For Festival Season
May 3, 2007Leipzig, Germany-based prog-death band DISILLUSION has issued the following update:
"We are very busy rehearsing with the potential new lineup and the preparations for the upcoming festival season. Some parts have to be re-written some re-arranged — but despite all the work that needs to be done, last rehearsal we left the room and thought hell yeah! So, all will be good! Also, the new website is on its way— finally. We are very much looking forward to its release and the completion of the creative chapter 'Gloria' which should be around end of May.
"By the way, the record is doing very well in Europe — so thank you all for supporting us! And finally we put online new pictures of Jens' [Maluschka, drums] final show here in Leipzig two weeks ago. About two hours before we played that evening the temperature on stage was about 45 degrees Celsius! Only God knows how hot is was when DIS was finished! Click here to see the pictures."
DISILLUSION's video for the song "Don't Go Any Further" off is scheduled to be shown at two German film festivals in 2007. The first one is the EMAF – the European Media Art Festival in Osnabrück, whick took place on April 25 -29. DISILLUSION's visual masterpiece will also be seen at the Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, which is definitely one of most important film festivals in the world. The so-called MuVi-Award will be presented on May 5.
"Don't Go Any Further" comes off DISILLUSION's sophomore album, "Gloria", which was released last October via Metal Blade Records. The band's full-length debut, "Back to Times of Splendor", came out in April 2004 through Metal Blade.
