DISILLUSION Scrap Live Performances, Concentrate On Writing New Material

January 29, 2005

DISILLUSION, the prog-death band from Leipzig, Germany who recently performed several dates with an expanded line-up (accompanied by five guest musicians),have issued the following update via their official web site:

"DISILLUSION have decided to play no more concerts in large line-up including the announced final show in our hometown Leipzig which was to take place in spring of this year.

"This is necessary because the band will be concentrating on writing new material beginning in February. The organization of such an evening would simply be too costly.

"At this point there are no plans for another concert in large line-up. There will be some shows as regular three-piece in April and May in Germany.

"We would hereby take the chance and say 'Thank you' to our five guest musicians, to Jasmin of UNLOVED and the four guys from DARK SUNS! Thank you for the time and energy you have invested and for making real what has been so important to us! DISILLUSION wish you all the best for 2005!"

DISILLUSION's full-length debut, "Back to Times of Splendor", was released last April through Metal Blade Records.

"Back to Times of Splendor" was mixed at Tam Recording Studios in Zwickau, Germany and was mastered at Mastersound Studios in Fellbach, Germany with ATROCITY mainman Alex Krull.
