DISSECTION To Film 'Starless Aeon' Video

March 22, 2006

Swedish metal pioneers DISSECTION continue to make their return to the metal scene a memorable one. To coincide with the release of their new album, "Reinkaos", due on May 16 on The End Records (April 30 in Europe on the group's own label, Black Horizon Records),the band is filming a unique video fro the song "Starless Aeon".

Commented DISSECTION leader Jon Nödtveidt: "For the making of the video to 'Starless Aeon', the first song from 'Reinkaos' to become visual, DISSECTION explore a special filming technique, shooting scenes backwards, with the band literally having to perform their music and sing the lyrics backwards. The filmed sequences have then ultimately been reversed again, with an original backwards sequence playing forwards in sync with the album version of the song. The visual result appears rather sick and disturbing, and like the rest of the video, very dark."

Black Horizon Music (via The End Records in North America) will also re-release the bands back catalogue, including the classic albums "The Somberlain" and "Storm of the Light's Bane".

DISSECTION entered the studio in February 2005 to begin recording the new CD, the group's first release since "Storm of the Light's Bane". Rough-mix versions of two new songs are available for download on their official web site. Check out the tracks "Xeper-I-Set" (mp3, lyrics) and "Starless Aeon" (mp3, lyrics). The final album version of "Starless Aeon" is available for streaming from link MP3.com.

As previously reported, DISSECTION are currently working on a DVD of their "already legendary" "Rebirth of Dissection" concert, which took place at Stockholm's Arenan on December 30, 2005. In addition to the live footage, the disc will contain a documentary about the "victorious path of DISSECTION!" More information will follow soon.
