November 12, 2008

Finland's MusiikkiTV conducted an interview with vocalist David Draiman and drummer Mike Wengren of the Chicago heavy rockers DISTURBED during the band's recent visit to the country. Watch the five-minute chat below. (Note: The nine-and-a-half-minute clip also includes the "Indestructible" video.)

DISTURBED has selected "The Night" as the next single off its "Indestructible" album, which sold 253,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to debut at position No. 1 on The Billboard 200 chart. A video for "The Night" will be filmed sometime in January.

The band's previous two albums, 2005's double-platinum "Ten Thousand Fists" (first-week sales: 238,000) and 2002's platinum "Believe" (first-week sales: 284,000),both also debuted at No. 1.

DISTURBED's best-selling release to date is its 2000 debut, "The Sickness", which has shifted around four million copies in the U.S. alone, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

DISTURBED recently released a new live EP entitled "Live & Indestructible" exclusively via iTunes.

According to The Pulse of Radio, DISTURBED is planning to kick off its fourth Music As A Weapon tour in March of 2009. Dates, cities and supporting acts have yet to be unveiled. The last Weapon tour, in late 2006, featured STONE SOUR, NONPOINT and FLYLEAF in addition to the headliners.
