DIVINE HERESY To Film 'Bleed The Fifth' Video

March 7, 2008

DIVINE HERESY — the new Los Angeles-based band featuring former FEAR FACTORY/current ASESINO guitarist Dino Cazares alongside drummer Tim Yeung (ex-VITAL REMAINS, HATE ETERNAL),vocalist Tommy Cummings (VEXT) and bassist Joe Payne (ex-NILE, DOMINATION THROUGH IMPURITY, LUST OF DECAY) — has just completed its first tour of Australia, where the group performed with the likes of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, AS I LAY DYING and SHADOWS FALL, among others. "As the YouTube footage proves [see below], the crowds in Australia were amazing," says guitarist Dino Cazares. "It was killer to be able to play shows across the entire continent and to perform alongside a bunch of great bands and great friends."

The band kicks off a brief tour of the southwest this weekend when they play the DEVILDRIVER-headlined Texas Metal Fest in Houston, where Cazares will actually pull double duty by performing with both DIVINE HERESY and his other band, ASESINO. Shortly after the tour wraps up with a hometown performance — the band's first of 2008 — at the Whisky in Hollywood, the band will film a new video for the title track of their debut album, "Bleed The Fifth".

"We can't wait to get back on the road here in the States and play some markets we haven't yet been able to hit," Cazares says. "We're also looking forward to returning to the Whisky, where we did our first American show last summer."

In April, the group will embark on a two-week headlining tour with Century Media labelmates SWORN ENEMY, FROM A SECOND STORY WINDOW (Blackmarket/Metal Blade),WITH BLOOD COMES CLEANSING (Victory) and DANCE CLUB MASSACRE (Blackmarket/Metal Blade). This will lead directly into the "Tyranny and Bloodshred" tour with labelmates ARCH ENEMY, DARK TRANQUILLITY and FIREWIND, which kicks off in Philadelphia on May 9.
