DOHENY Drummer Mugged At Gunpoint

September 13, 2003

Colin LaRocque, drummer for the California-based DOHENY (featuring ex-THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison (on guitar) and PITCHSHIFTER frontman Jon "J.S." Clayden),was mugged at gunpoint in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (September 10). Three robbers accosted Colin by a friend's house in the early hours of the morning, and after taking his wallet, phone and bag, pistol-whipped him three times to the head with the butt of a nine-millimeter handgun.

Says Colin: "Of course, the situation is a real bummer, but I'm just happy to be alive right now. You can always replace your possessions, but you only get one life to live."

DOHENY, who are currently unsigned, are currently working on demos with a view toward recording their debut album in late 2003/early 2004.
