DOMAIN Parts Ways With Drummer, Announces Temporary Replacement

September 7, 2007

German melodic metallers DOMAIN have parted ways with drummer Stefan Köllner. For the band's upcoming European tour with ASTRAL DOORS and SECRET SPHERE, the drum duties will be handled by Jens Baar (ILLECTRONIC),who is a longtime friend of DOMAIN bassist Steven Wussow.

DOMAIN recently announced the addition of vocalist Nicolaj Ruhnow to the group's ranks. Nicolaj, who previously sang for the power metal band IRONY and headed up his solo-project NICK HELLFORT, will make his recorded debut with DOMAIN on the band's next studio CD, tentatively due in the spring.

DOMAIN's albums "One Million Lightyears From Home", "New Horizons", "The Artefact", "The Sixth Dimension" and "The Essence Of Glory" will be made available in the U.S. for the first time via CD Baby. More information is available at this location.

DOMAIN ended its collaboration with singer Chity Somapala (ex-FIREWIND, AVALON, FARO) earlier this summer a little more than six months after he joined the group.

DOMAIN released its 20th anniversary album, "Stardawn", on October 13, 2006 in Europe and November 7, 2006 in the United States via Limb Music Products. A limited-edition version (limited to 4,000 copies) contains a double-CD plus an additional DVD, containing various special features.

DOMAIN's tour with ASTRAL DOORS and SECRET SPHERE will kick off on October 22 in Berlin.
