DOMAIN's AXEL RITT To Judge 'Guitar Fight Club' Contest

May 10, 2008

On June 14, guitar wizard Axel Ritt of the German epic power metal band DOMAIN will serve as one of four jury members of the Guitar Fight Club contest in Bischofswerda, Germany.

Eight young and motivated guitar shredders will compete against each others in front of about 2,000 enthusiastic fans. The winner will take it all: "fame, glory and instruments," according to a press release.

To get more information about the event, visit the official Guitar Fight Clubweb site.

DOMAIN recently spent time in the studio recording its ninth album, entitled "The Chronicles of Love, Hate and Sorrow". According to the band, the CD will be a concept album along the lines of the "Last Days of Utopia" LP, but this time it will be arranged and conceived as a "metal opera."

"The Chronicles of Love, Hate and Sorrow" will be released in the fall.

DOMAIN ended its collaboration with singer Chity Somapala (ex-FIREWIND, AVALON, FARO) last summer a little more than six months after he joined the group.

DOMAIN released its 20th anniversary album, "Stardawn", on October 13, 2006 in Europe and November 7, 2006 in the United States via Limb Music Products.
