March 13, 2009"6-6-Sick", the new video from DOPE, can be viewed below. (Note: The video stream may not be available to some non-U.S. residents.) The song comes off the band's long-awaited fifth album, "No Regrets", which was released on March 10 via E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records). The CD features a guest appearance by Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY),who lent his signature guitar squeals to the song "Addiction".
Frontman Edsel Dope, alongside Virus, has revitalized DOPE's lineup on "No Regrets". Joining them on bass and backing vocals is Tripp Tribbet, formerly frontman of TWISTED METHOD, who also happens to be the younger brother of MUDVAYNE/HELLYEAH guitarist Greg Tribbet. On drums, DOPE recruited former GENITORTURERS drummer Angel Bartolotta.
DOPE has released four albums since signing with Epic in 1998, and has sold over 500,000 CDs. Their most recent CD, 2005's "American Apathy", debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart as well as #1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart.
DOPE's video for the song "Addiction" was helmed by directors Kevin Custer (KINGDOM OF SORROW, TESTAMENT) and Dale "Rage" Resteghini (TRIVIUM, HATEBREED) in New Jersey.
