DOPE Cancel Birmingham, AL Show Due To Bus Problems
April 27, 2004DOPE cancelled Monday night's show in Birmingham, Alabama at the last minute due to bus problems, according to www.seasonswilted.com. The bus problems reportedly started earlier in the day when the driver was forced to make the drive to Birmingham at 40 mph due to the bus having limited power. Once near the venue, the bus lost all power and the brakes failed, causing the bus to roll back down a hill on a main street on Birmingham's Southside before the trailer jackknifed and the bus came to a stop. No one was injured and there was no damage to any cars or property other than the back of the bus and the band's equipment trailer. At press time it did not look like this incident would affect any other shows. MUSHROOMHEAD played as scheduled for the crowd in attendance.
