DOPE Filming 'Addiction', '66Sick' Videos

DOPE has tapped directors Kevin Custer (KINGDOM OF SORROW, TESTAMENT) and Dale "Rage" Resteghini (TRIVIUM, HATEBREED) to helm the videos for the songs "Addiction" and "66Sick". The clips were being shot in New Jersey on January 8-10. The guys in the band were looking for a "bad-ass chopper" and a large boa constrictor or a python to feature in one of the videos.

DOPE's long-awaited fifth album, "No Regrets", will be released on March 10 via Koch Records.

Vocalist and guitarist Edsel Dope, alongside Virus, has revitalized DOPE's lineup on "No Regrets". Joining them on bass and backing vocals is Tripp Tribbet, formerly frontman of TWISTED METHOD, who also happens to be the younger brother of MUDVAYNE/HELLYEAH guitarist Greg Tribbet. On drums, DOPE recruited former GENITORTURERS drummer Angel Bartolotta.

Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) lent his signature guitar squeals to DOPE on the new track "Addiction".

DOPE will be on tour with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and SEVENDUST all spring long.

DOPE has released four albums since signing with Epic in 1998, and has sold over 500,000 CDs. Their most recent CD, 2005's "American Apathy", debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart as well as #1 on the Billboard Independent Album chart.
