DORO Recruits Guitarist BILL HUDSON For PROGPOWER USA Performance

September 3, 2018

Guitarist Bill Hudson will perform with German metal queen Doro Pesch at this year's ProgPower USA festival on Thursday, September 6 at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia.

Hudson, who has previously played with TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, CIRCLE II CIRCLE, JON OLIVA'S PAIN and DIRKSCHNEIDER, says: "This is due to very unfortunate circumstances, and I will be replacing my brother, amazing guitarist and TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA bandmate Chris Caffery, who unfortunately cannot make it to this show.

"It was tough to learn all this music in less than a week, but It'll be incredible to finally share the stage with my good friends Nick Douglas, Johnny Dee and Tommy Bolan (who I spent hours on the phone going over songs already). Thanks also to my bros Luca Princiotta and Bas Maas with all the help on your parts!

"This will be awesome! I can't wait to see everyone!"

Doro's new album, "Forever Warriors, Forever United", was released on August 17 via Nuclear Blast. The LP takes a more sentimental turn, with lyrical topics covering friendship, love and companionship. Highlights include Doro's tribute to the late and great Lemmy.

With "Forever Warriors, Forever United", Doro presents two new records, featuring 19 regular tracks and six bonus songs.

The album cover artwork was once again created by Doro's favorite artist, Geoffrey Gillespie. It portrays Doro in the middle of a swarm of wild metal heads exuding attitude, power and positive vibes.

Last year, Pesch celebrated the 30th anniversary of WARLOCK's "Triumph And Agony" album by performing the LP in its entirety at select shows around the globe.

Hudson recently formed a new band called NORTHTALE with vocalist Christian Eriksson, bassist Mikael T. Planefeldt, drummer Patrick Johansson and keyboardist Jimmy Pitts.

I've been given the green light to tell you, so here we go:
