DOWN: 'Deluxe Edition' Of 'Over The Under' Due In October

DOWN — the acclaimed New Orleans band featuring CORROSION OF CONFORMITY guitarist/vocalist Pepper Keenan, drummer Jimmy Bower (EYEHATEGOD, SUPERJOINT RITUAL guitarist),bassist Rex Brown (ex-PANTERA),guitarist Kirk Windstein (CROWBAR),and vocalist Philip Anselmo (SUPERJOINT RITUAL, ex-PANTERA) — will release a "deluxe edition" of its critically acclaimed third album, "Over the Under", on October 14. The deluxe package includes a DVD with over 30 minutes of previously unreleased live performances and behind-the-scenes footage. The album will be released on Down Records in conjunction with Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group (ILG).

Anselmo revealed in a recent online post that DOWN has recorded at least six new songs for a possible new CD which may also include previously unreleased material from the "Over the Under" sessions.

DOWN has landed the coveted support slot on the upcoming METALLICA U.S. tour starting October 21 in Glendale, Arizona. The band will also play select headline shows between METALLICA dates.

DOWN's video for the song "On March The Saints" can be viewed on YouTube. The track comes off the group's latest album, "Over the Under", which was released on September 25, 2007 through ILG/Warner Music Group (one day earlier internationally via Roadrunner Records). The LP was issued in Europe as a limited-edition digipack CD featuring the bonus track "Invest in Fear".
