DOWN THE DRAIN Bassist: No MALEVOLENT CREATION 'Reunion' Planned

July 12, 2005

DOWN THE DRAIN bassist Scott O'Dell wants everyone to know that a MALEVOLENT CREATION "reunion" will not be happening... not now or anytime soon. The Buffalo, NY-based band, which features former MALEVOLENT CREATION frontman Brett Hoffmann, will only share the stage with MALEVOLENT CREATION as a support act — a one-time deal that is scheduled to take place Monday, August 1 at Broadway Joe's in Buffalo as part of MALEVOLENT's Warkult U.S. tour. "No other plans were made," O'Dell said in a statement. "Brett has no plans on getting up on stage with them. NO talks were ever made. He hasn't talked to Phil [Fasciana, MALEVOLENT guitarist] or anyone else from MALEVOLENT in a very long time. A local promoter put the show together and asked DOWN THE DRAIN to play the show. We're not even sure if the guys in MALEVOLENT know we're on the bill that night. But Brett has a mindset and a mission to destroy the metal scene once again. He wants people to know he is for real and he isn't and never was anything other then METAL! And nobody will get in his way... NO ONE!"
