DOWNSCARRED Signs With SPARKLING LIGHT RECORDS

German gothic metal band DOWNSCARRED has inked a deal with Sparkling Light Records. The group's debut album, "The Flower and the Fall", is scheduled for release in early 2008.

DOWNSCARRED previously released two demos — "The Last Eternity" in 2003 and "Embracing the Horizon" in 2005. The band has often been compared to PARADISE LOST, TIAMAT or SISTERS OF MERCY, but with a unique flavor that is unmistakably DOWNSCARRED.
