DOWNSPIRIT: Complete Lineup Announced

DOWNSPIRIT, the new band formed by SYMPHORCE/ex-FREEDOM CALL guitarist Cedric "Cede" Dupont, has announced its complete lineup. Joining the blues/metal-oriented formation from Germany/Switzerland is Mitch Koontz (bass, GODIVA) and Sebastian Dunkel (drums).

DOWNSPIRIT was originally formed in early 2008 by Dupont in order to fulfill his longtime dream of playing in a band that is dedicated to the combination of blues and metal music.

Based in Stuttgart, Germany, DOWNSPIRIT is currently in pre-production for its upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released in mid-2009. "Blending old blues roots with a modern, downtuned guitar-feel, their songs are a mixture of typical bluesy '80s hard rock and a contemporary metal sound, which also includes some electro loops," according to a press release.
