DRAGONFORCE Launches Exclusive Features On Zune Marketplace

British metal band DRAGONFORCE has become the latest artist to be featured in the Zune Ignition program. Fans can visit a special feature page on Zune Marketplace where they can access the free track 'Heroes Of Our Time" from the band's recently released "Ultra Beatdown", an exclusive "Guestlist" featuring a guitar-heavy dose of the band's all-time favorite songs and guitarist Herman Li's track-by-track breakdown of "Ultra Beatdown". In addition, MSN Music and Xbox Live are featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the "Heroes Of Our Time" video. Later this month, an alternate edit of the track "Last Journey Home" will be available exclusively on Zune Marketplace.

"Ultra Beatdown", the new album from DRAGONFORCE, has registered the following first-week chart positions:

Japan: #9
Canada: #15
USA: #18
UK: #18
Australia: #18
Ireland: #47

"Ultra Beatdown" sold 24,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release.

DRAGONFORCE will hit the U.S. for a six-week headline tour that hits major markets. DRAGONFORCE are a touring machine, but their last headline tour occured two years ago in September 2006. It was a sold-out spectacle that cemented the band's reputation as a live powerhouse, so it's time for the band to once again topline a bill. TURISAS will serve as main support for the tour, which kicks off on November 1 and runs through December 19.
