DRAGONFORCE, TURISAS Featured In ARTE's 'Tracks' Program

March 12, 2009

DRAGONFORCE, TURISAS, WAYLANDER and FOLKSTONE will be featured on the series "Tracks" on Arte (Association Relative à la Télévision Européenne),a Franco-German TV network, on Friday, March 13 beginning at approximately 11:10 p.m. The segment will deal with metal acts that focus on heroic, fantastic and historical themes and will be available for viewing online for one week beginning approximately 40 minutes after the broadcast.

DRAGONFORCE will be back on U.S. shores this spring to support last year's "Ultra Beatdown". The band will embark on a month-long, headlining tour (with support from CYNIC and DAATH) and hit a batch of markets they did not play on their successful tour last November.

The tour was designed specifically as a way to reward DRAGONFORCE's throng of fans for their continued support of the band with a low priced ticket. In some cases, advance tickets are as low as $15, which takes these trying economic times into account. There's no better way to spend a hard-earned $15 then by taking in a night of swilling beer and watching the band shred their way through an entire set!

An e-card for "A Finnish Summer With Turisas", the first-ever DVD from Finnish folk metal overlords TURISAS, is available at this location. A video trailer for the set can be viewed below.

In the summer of 2008, TURISAS set out to play more shows across its home country Finland than ever before. With "A Finnish Summer With Turisas", you can join them on their road trip, learn the secrets of sauna and other Finnish traditions on the nights when the sun never sets. Travel from festival to festival and go behind the scenes to find out what makes TURISAS a one-of-a-kind blend of music, traditions, fur, blood and fun.
