DRAGONLAND Members Launch Death Metal Side-Project

June 10, 2004

DRAGONLAND members Olof Morck (guitar) and Nicklas Magnusson (guitar) have reformed their old death metal band RAPTURE under the name THE RETURNING. The group, who will be reworking some of their old material, will begin writing new songs following the completion of the new DRAGONLAND album, "Starfall".

THE RETURNING, whose current lineup is rounded out by vocalist Patric Johannson (more members to be announced soon) will "combine AT THE GATES-style melodic death metal with technical raw brutality to bring you all a bone-chilling death metal experience!" according to an official press release. The group hope to land a record deal this autumn and release an album early next year.

DRAGONLAND are currently recording their third album, "Starfall", for an October release through Century Media Records. The recording of the follow-up to 2002's "Holy War" is taking place at Tom Englund's (EVERGREY) Division One Studios in Sweden with Englund producing.
