DREAM THEATER's 'Scenes From A Memory' CD Turned Into Stage Production
August 10, 2005Work has begun on a stage production of DREAM THEATER's acclaimed concept album, "Scenes from a Memory". This is a full-stage production, not a performance of the album.
The play, written and directed by longtime DREAM THEATER fan Danni Segal, will run for four performances from November 17 through November 19, 2005 (three evenings plus one Saturday matinee) at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, East Sussex (near Hastings and Eastbourne) in England. This may be the only time this is ever done, so anyone interested is encouraged to come along.
"Scenes from a Memory" tells the story of Nicholas, a young man who starts experiencing strange dreams when he moves to a new town. The dreams keep repeating, and seem to centre on a young woman he has never seen before. He seeks the assistance of a hypnotherapist who helps provide one sets of answers, but creates a whole new set of questions: Who is the mysterious young woman? What is her connection to the shocking events of 1928? And what effect will the answers have on Nicholas?
