DREAM THEATER Singer, Former TESTAMENT Guitarist To Perform In Broadway Musical

James LaBrie, lead singer of prog-rock supergroup DREAM THEATER, will be joined by Rob Evan, Brian d'Arcy James, Judy McLane, Peter Palmer, Rita Harvey, Danny Zolli and others in a celebration of music by composer/lyricist/musical director Neil Berg to benefit BC/EFA. "Berg/Off-Broadway", produced by V. Paul Boyle, will take place on August 11 at the Lamb's Theater at 8:00pm. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit BC/EFA, the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization.

The composer/lyricist of "The Prince and the Pauper" (also at the Lamb's),Neil Berg is currently working on the musical "Tim Cratchit and the Ghost of Ebenezer Scrooge", optioned for a 2005 Broadway opening by producer Adam Friedson, and the rock musical "The Twelve", with producer Carolyn Rossi Copeland. This concert marks the first time in almost ten years that an evening has been dedicated to Berg's work. His "Asylum in the Night" received the 1995 Bistro Award.

One of the highlights of "Berg/Off-Broadway" is going to be the guest appearance of James LaBrie. James is best known as the dynamic front man for the rock group DREAM THEATER. His solo project, MULLMUZZLER, has also released two CDs.
