According to the group's official web site, there will be no support act during the US tour, and the second nights in Chicago and NYC will consist of completely different sets from the first nights' set lists.

Here is a message from DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy about the upcoming trek:

“There are still 2 or 3 dates left to be confirmed in the coming days, but I am disappointed to announce that we were unable to secure shows in many areas we'd love be playing in... Most Notably: The South (Texas, Florida, Atlanta, New Orleans),The Northwest (Seattle, Portland) and any additional Canadian dates (Montreal, Quebec City)

“We are as disappointed as any of you are (really!) but the unfortunate reality is the promoters in these particular areas are not making it possible financially for us to put on a DREAM THEATER show without losing money ourselves. Luckily, the rest of the US has promoters that realize the band's drawing power and have made the shows possible, but their are still areas of North America that judge a band's popularity on radio or MTV play....

“We apologize to our great fans in these areas of America and we hope we can make it through on a later leg....

“In the meantime, if we did not confirm a show in your city....make a road trip!! We'll make it worth your while!! I promise! —MP
