DROID: 'The SHADOWS FALL Tour Was Off The Hook!'
May 2, 2008Long Beach, California-based quintet DROID has issued the following update:
"The SHADOWS FALL tour was off the hook. We have returned home from a three-day drive from Maryland to Long Beach, California. DROID will be returning to the studio this week to begin writing new music for our second release on Emotional Syphon Recordings. We hope to have our second CD recorded by the begining of 2009. DROID will continue to tour the U.S. on and off for the remainder of the year so don't count us out on playing your hometown yet!!! The tour with SHADOWS FALL, KATAKLYSM, ARSIS and THE SHOWDOWN was a great chance for us to meet a lot of new friends, between the bands and the new people that we were able to perform for. Also we were able to have the chance to hang out with many friends and fans from the past!!! Thanks to all of you who came out and supported us on this tour and thanks to SHADOWS FALL for bringing us out with them, they were a great band to share the stage with and were really good to us!!!"
DROID is signed to KORN guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer's label, Emotional Syphon Recordings, and released its self-titled debut album last year. Shaffer previously said that he and DROID guitarist Jamie Teissere have been "friends for a long time."
