Drummer DEREK RODDY Quits TODAY IS THE DAY
March 14, 2008Drummer Derek Roddy (ex-HATE ETERNAL, NILE) has left TODAY IS THE DAY as a result of an apparent financial dispute with the group's mainman Steve Austin. Derek has reportedly been replaced on the band's current tour by Mike Rosswog (CIRCLE OF DEAD CHILDREN, COMPLETE FAILURE).
TODAY IS THE DAY's eighth studio album, "Axis of Eden", was released last September on SuperNova Records, the label founded by Steve Austin. SuperNova Records is distributed exclusively by MRI/RED in the U.S., FAB in Canada, Cargo in Europe, and IODA for all digital distribution.
Video footage of Derek Roddy at the Axis pedals booth at this year's winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show, which was held January 17-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, can be viewed below.
