DUKE Sign With MASSACRE RECORDS

DUKE, the German band formed by ex-SCANNER singer Haridon Lee (a.k.a. Leszek Szpigiel). Have signed a deal with Massacre Records. The band — rounded out by Tobias Kersting (guitars),Stefan (bass) and "the first female power metal drummer" Anja Assmuth (sister of former ANGEL DUST pounder Dirk Assmuth) — will enter Mohrmann studio in Bochum, Germany on April 13 to record their debut album, due in late summer. The as-yet-untitled CD will reportedly feature a musical direction in the "old SCANNER" vein.
