DUNGEON Part Ways With Drummer And Bassist

February 8, 2005

Australian power metallers DUNGEON have parted ways with drummer Grahame Goode and bassist Pete Peric.

"As was stated many times in interviews, the chemistry between Grahame and Pete with Tim and Stu both inside the rehearsal room and on stage worked very well and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all parties," the band write in an official statement. "However, over the course of time that they were members, we had discussed the ultimate musical direction of DUNGEON and it became clear that there would be problems in the future, so rather than forcing the issue and causing undue stress on every member, it was decided in a mutual and amicable way that we could no longer work together.

"We would like to thank Grahame and Pete for their time in DUNGEON from the fantastic shows to the professionalism they brought to their respective roles and we would like to wish them every success in the future with whatever avenues they wish to pursue. Replacements have already been secured for DUNGEON's upcoming shows at Metal For The Brain Brisbane and the NIGHTWISH and ANGRA Australian tours."

DUNGEON released a live DVD and CD, entitled "Under the Rising Sun", late last year. Their new album, "One Step Beyond", has been issued in Australia and Japan, with a European release slated for February 21 through Limb Music Products.
