DYNAMO OPEN AIR 2002 Fails To Live Up To Past Glories

According to unofficial reports, this year's Dynamo Open Air festival—held on July 14th in Weert, Holland and featuring appearances by SOULFLY, DEATH ANGEL, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, CHILDREN OF BODOM, OPETH, and FINTROLL, among others—drew only about 6,500 fans—a far cry from the 120,000 that showed up for the event during its heyday in the mid-'90s. The festival is expected to resume its normal service next year, presumably with an expanded line-up at a brand new location.
