Early PHIL LYNOTT Recordings Discovered After 40 Years
January 4, 2007According to the Belfast Telegraph, the first-ever recordings by legendary rocker Phil Lynott have reportedly been rediscovered after almost 40 years.
Reports this morning say the recordings were made in Dublin in 1968, when Lynott was just 18.
He sings on two tracks and provides harmonies on a third for Brush Shiels' band SKID ROW, which he later left before going on to found THIN LIZZY.
This morning's reports say the tapes were taken home by a studio sound engineer and have recently been rediscovered by his son.
The news comes as family, friends and fans prepare to mark the 21st anniversary of Lynott's death at the annual Vibe for Philo event in Dublin.
