EDGUY/AVANTASIA Frontman Interviewed In Milan

Italy's HeavyWorlds.com recently conducted an interview with EDGUY/AVANTASIA frontman Tobias Sammet in Milan. You can now watch the chat in two parts below.

AVANTASIA will celebrate its comeback this spring with a new epic masterpiece, to be released on April 3, 2010 as regular CDs, two separate double picture vinyls, and as a beautiful collector's edition with an AVANTASIA picture book. The deluxe box set will feature two CDs in two digibooks with impressive booklets, codes for online content (like bonus tracks, etc.) and the AVANTASIA book "The Wicked Trilogy", including many never-before-seen photos from the tour and from photo sessions, etc. An exclusive interview, liner notes, and a biography will also be included. All the album versions will be released simultaneously on April 3, so no one will be forced to buy everything piece by piece; instead everyone will be able to choose a version of his/her choice right from the release date.

"The Wicked Symphony" and "Angel Of Babylon" are the continuation of the trilogy that began with the 2008 album "The Scarecrow".

The cover artwork for the two CDs was created by Thomas Ewerhard, who also worked on EDGUY's "Hellfire Club" and AVANTASIA's "The Scarecrow" albums.

EDGUY's new DVD and separate 2-CD package, "Fucking With F*** - Live", came out in May 2009 via Nuclear Blast. The footage for the DVD was shot on November 3, 2006 at the Credicard Hall in São Paulo, Brazil and "presents a mind-blowing performance of Tobias Sammet [vocals] and his team," according to a press release. "More than 100 minutes including all hymns, as well as lots of bonus material featuring all video clips, road movies and interviews. Besides the DVD, there will be also a double live CD, separate, as well as part of a noble package along with the DVD."

"Tinnitus Sanctus", the latest album from EDGUY, debuted at No. 88 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
