EKOTREN To Support DIECAST On U.S. Tour

October 19, 2007

Cape Coral, Florida-based melodic metal band EKOTREN will support DIECAST on a U.S. tour beginning November 5 in Jacksonville, Florida. A list of dates can be found at this location.

Originating in Cape Coral, FL in 2000, EKOTREN is John Sheldon (vocals),Keith Finnell (guitars),Derek DeSantis (bass),Steve Chin (keyboard, backing vocals),and Eric Pottle (drums). The band has formulated a style distinctly its own, one that enraptures crowds with a powerhouse performance among their rigorous state-wide circuits, blowing away Florida crowds with the whirlwind melodies of "Point of View" and the skull-rattling ferocity of songs like "The Massacre".

After seven years of dedication, EKOTREN signed with Blind Prophecy Records in September 2007 and immediately hit the studio with acclaimed producer Paul Trust (DIECAST, ENDO) to craft its first full-length album, "Light the Fire". Steered by melody and driven by metal, the 11-track effort — which will be released in early 2008 — breathes new life into fan favorites like "The Tables Have Turned" and displays brand new tracks in EKOTREN's signature style.

After the international release of the album, EKOTREN aims bring their unique breed of metal to the masses with an extensive tour.
