ELIS: 'We Will Keep SABINE Forever In Our Memories!'

July 20, 2006

ELIS, the Liechtenstein-based gothic metal band whose singer, Sabine Dünser, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on July 7 during rehearsal and passed away the following day in hospital, has posted the following message on its official web site:

"We want to thank the families, friends, fans and bands for the big sympathies we received! We appreciate very much how many people support Sabine's family and us during this hard time! Also the farewell to Sabine on [July 13] in Schaan (FL) was a very touching moment.

"In the next days, we will consider carefully how we will continue with ELIS and what happens with the new album, 'Griefshire', and the MCD, 'Show Me The Way'.

"Thanks again for your support. We all will keep Sabine forever in our memories!"

Dünser was born June 27, 1977 and joined ELIS, then still known as ERBEN DER SCHOPFUNG, in 2001. ELIS recently completed work on the follow-up to 2004's "Dark Clouds in a Perfect Sky" at Mastersound Studios in Stuttgart with producer Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES). A video for "Der Letzte Tag", taken from the last CD, can be viewed at this location (right-click and "Save Target As" 6.4 MB, Windows Media).
