ELUVEITIE Explains ROCK AM HÄRTSFELDSEE Cancellation
July 1, 2008Swiss folk metal band ELUVEITIE has issued the following update:
"Due to a recent injury of our drummer Merlin [Sutter], we [were] forced to cancel our appearance at the Rock am Härtsfeldsee [which took place June 27-28 in Dischingen Lkr. Heidenheim, Germany]. We'd like to apologize to our fans, to the organizers and everyone else involved. We only take measures like this in the worst possible case. Merlin has to save himself at the moment, but he's on the mend. We'll play all further shows as announced. So, see you at Metalcamp [in Tolmin, Slovenia]!"
As previously reported, Rafi Kirder (bass, vocals) and Sevan Kirder (bagpipe, flute, whistles, vocals) recently announced their departure from ELUVEITIE.
ELUVEITIE's new album, "Slania", was released on February 15 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Spirit" is "the perfection of the first album, but still there is enough room to give some new influences a chance," according to a press release. 'Expect nothing less than a masterpiece of hellish heavy folk metal with an 'x' factor!"
ELUVEITIE will team up with PRIMORDIAL, EQUILIBRIUM, CATAMENIA, FINNTROLL and MÅNEGARM and for the Heidenfest Tour 2008 in October/November.
