ENGEL: Live Performance Video Posted Online

April 20, 2005

ENGEL, the new Gothenburg, Sweden-based quintet featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson (ex-THE CROWN) and Niclas Engelin (PASSENGER, ex-GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES),drummer Mojjo (RELEVANT FEW, DRACENA),bassist Robert Hakemo (ex-GARDENIAN, GOOSEFLESH) and vocalist Mangan Klavborn, have posted a live performance video shot in the group's rehearsal room of a new track entitled "Someone Died (And Made You God)". Check out the clip at this location (Windows Media required). The song is taken from the self-produced demo that Tue Madsen (MNEMIC, THE HAUNTED etc) mixed at Denmark's Antfarm studios in February.

"ENGEL are writing/rehearsing new improving material each and every day now," the band write on their web site. "Some of it is moving in a really heavy direction, so we're very excited about it and can't wait to present it to you.

"The yearly Tattooexpo event was held in Gothenburg and our dear friend Biffen (A famous soap actor from a couple of reality TV series in Sweden) was the DJ for the evening. At the climax and the end of the suspension show (where they pierce people with hooks and let them hang and swing from the ceiling, pretty scary) he kicked in the ENGEL song 'Poisoned Design', and that surely made the day for us (Thanx man!)."

As previously reported, another ENGEL demo track, entitled "Walk the Wounded", can be downloaded at this location (MP3, 5 MB).
