ENGEL To Open For ARCH ENEMY, TRIVIUM In Scandinavia

ENGEL, the new Gothenburg, Sweden-based quintet featuring guitarists Marcus Sunesson (ex-THE CROWN) and Niclas Engelin (PASSENGER, ex-GARDENIAN, IN FLAMES),drummer Mojjo (RELEVANT FEW, DRACENA),bassist Robert Hakemo (ex-GARDENIAN, GOOSEFLESH) and vocalist Mangan Klavborn, have been confirmed as the opening act on the Scandinavian leg of ARCH ENEMY's upcoming European tour. Also appearing on the bill are TRIVIUM. "This will be the biggest thing in ENGEL's career so far and we're totally psyched about it," ENGEL said in a statement. "We're ready to make this as memorable as we possible can, both to ourselves but foremost to our fans. Now go spread the word and we'll see you in the pit. Keep them horns up!"

Oct. 14 - Gothenburg, SWE - Kåren

ENGEL, who had previously recorded a self-produced demo that Tue Madsen (MNEMIC, THE HAUNTED etc) mixed at Denmark's Antfarm studios in February, are currently working on new material which is "coming out real strong," according to a posting on the group's web site. New songtitles include "Propaganda", "Shatterday" and "My Hero". In the meantime, you can still download a live performance video shot in the group's rehearsal room of a new track entitled "Someone Died (And Made You God)" at this location (Windows Media required). Another ENGEL demo track, entitled "Walk the Wounded", has been posted online at this location (MP3, 5 MB).
