ENSIFERUM To Support MEGADETH In Helsinki
December 26, 2007Finnish folk-influenced melodic death metal act ENSIFERUM has issued the following update:
"ENSIFERUM is very sorry for the cancellation of the Hexentanz gig in Illingen, Germany [on December 15]. Our guitar player Markus had to go to a hospital on the previous day in Switzerland and he had to stay in the hospital for a few days. At this moment Markus is doing fine and future gigs will be played as planned."
In other news, ENSIFERUM will support MEGADETH on February 4 at the Icehall in Helsinki, Finland.
ENSIFERUM recently entered the German chart at position No. 37 with its third album, "Victory Songs". The CD also debuted on the Finnish national chart at No. 6.
"Victory Songs" was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki with producer Janne Joutsenniemi. A limited-edition version of the album includes an extra track, "Lady in Black", and a bonus DVD. An e-card for the CD can be found here. Check out the video for the song "Ahti" at YouTube.
