ENSLAVED To Support OPETH On North American Tour
January 28, 2009Norwegian masters of progressive/experimental metal ENSLAVED will support Swedish progressive metallers OPETH on their upcoming North American tour. The 23 shows will take place between May 1 and May 27.
Ivar Bjørnson, ENSLAVED's songwriter and guitarist comments: "I am stoked that we are going out with OPETH. We have been admirers of OPETH's work for years, especially the direction of their newer works. For the third time in five years, ENSLAVED was honored in the "Metal" category at the Spellemann awards (the Norwegian equivalent to the Grammy Awards). The largest and oldest Norwegian music awards show was held this past Saturday, January 24 at the Spektrum in Oslo, Norway and was broadcast live on the Norwegian channel TV2.
ENSLAVED was previously honored for the "Ruun" (2006) and "Isa" (2004) albums.
