ENTHRONED Frontman Undergoes Back Surgery
October 7, 2008Belgian black metal band ENTHRONED has issued the following brief update:
"After the triumphant tour in Brazil [with SADUS and SEVERE TORTURE], ENTHRONED would like to thank all the fans that supported us and made this trip a hell of a massacre! In the meantime, Nornagest (guitar, vocals) had to be taken to the hospital two days after his return for some back injuries. The surgery went fine and he should be up in the next week. This won't affect any concerts in the future."
Upcoming ENTHRONED shows:
Nov. 01 - Volkshaus, Germany - Weimar
Nov. 08 - JC Togenblik, Belgium - Beveren Waas
ENTHRONED is working on material for the follow-up to 2007's "Tetra Karcist". According to a posting on the group's web site, "The composition is still in the early stages of the writing process but already shows how that next full-length will be a hell of a pure piece of occult work!"
Commented frontman Nornagest: "We are not ready to enter the recording studio yet, but what we got until now promises that the next album will be crushing and will definitely continue where 'Tetra Karcist' stopped."
ENTHRONED in January inked a deal with Sweden's Regain Records. The band's latest album, "Tetra Karcist", was released in September 2007 via Napalm Records. The CD was recorded under the guidance of Harris Johns (SODOM, KREATOR, VOIVOD). Guest musicians on the CD include Ashmedi (MELECHESH),MkM (ANTAEUS),Verderf (ex-VERLOREN, OUROBOUROS),Harris Johns and Dungeon (ICONOCLASM).
