ENTHRONED To Release 'Cold Black Suns' Album In June

March 20, 2019

Belgian black metallers ENTHRONED will release their new album, "Cold Black Suns", on June 7 via Season Of Mist. The first single from the disc, "Silent Redemption", can be streamed below.

The band comments: "We're proud to introduce our first single 'Silent Redemption' from the upcoming album 'Cold Black Suns'. This track unveils one of the many layers of the long awaited 11th opus. With 'Silent Redemption', we take you along to Aokigahara, the infamous Suicide Forest in Japan, to walk amongst the Yūrei. While keeping our band's trademark, this new album offers another pitch in the music, soaking the listener in bleak and fury."

The cover artwork for "Cold Black Suns" was created by Neraath and can be seen below.

"Cold Black Suns" track listing:

01. Ophiusa (03:42)
02. Hosanna Satana (02:16)
03. Oneiros (06:26)
04. Vapula Omega (04:55)
05. Silent Redemption (06:07)
06. Aghoria (04:14)
07. Beyond Humane Greed (05:01)
08. Smoking Mirror (07:07)
09. Son Of Man (09:08)

Over the course of the last 25 years, ENTHRONED has pushed the boundaries of black metal and the depth of the "left hand path" philosophy. The quintet has channeled that dedication into its newest record; a dark and crushing black metal album where cold riffing, blood chilling atmospheres and ritualistic drumming are keys to forging their most mature and accomplished opus to date.

In 2016, Phorgath and guitarist ZarZax departed ENTHRONED on amicable terms, and were replaced by Norgaath and Shagal (from cult Argentinian act VIBRION),respectively.

ENTHRONED is:

Nornagest: Vocals
Neraath: Guitars, noise and effects
Shāgāl: Guitars
Norgaath: Bass
Menthor: Drums
