ERA VULGARIS To Release Debut Album Next Month

January 17, 2007

Irish progressive thrash metal band ERA VULGARIS will release its debut album, "What Stirs Within", on February 5 via Open Your Ears Music. The CD was mastered by Alan Douches, who has worked with such bands as MASTODON and THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN.

ERA VULGARIS was recently selected as one of the bands in Rock Sound magazine's "Hot 100 for 2007".

"What Stirs Within" will be available throughout the U.K. and Ireland via Code7 and PlasticHead distribution.

Commented ERA VULGARIS: "We play metal because it happens to be what we play at the moment. Every one of us listens to such a wide variety of music that a lot of the time metal fans don't really seem to understand why such a good death metal band has to do this or has to do that — we're not a death metal band. We're not a metal band. We're a band, we play music that we want to hear. We like hearing metal. We like hearing a lot of things."
