ETHER SEEDS Change Name To ONE FOR NOTHING

June 23, 2004

Former Roadrunner recording artists ETHER SEEDS have officially changed their name to ONE FOR NOTHING. The following is the group's official statement on the matter:

"Whatever happened to the SEEDS? Well, for several reasons, we have pulled ourselves off the radar to regroup and plan for the future. After careful consideration, we have decided that the name has run its course. In a business that is unreasonably biased to begin with, ETHER SEEDS carries a stigma with it that is difficult to overcome...fair or not. Rather than spend our time trying to patch holes in the same old ship before we head back out to sea...why not build a bigger, stronger ship and ram it straight up their asses?

"It is with great enthusiasm that we begin a new band called ONE FOR NOTHING. Is it just the same group of guys with a different name? The short answer is 'no'. What has transpired in the past year has been enough to dramatically change each of us on a personal and creative level. Whereas the band was initially formed under the constant watch of a record label intent upon controlling every aspect of our development, we have had the past year to decide what we want to do and how we want to do it. More importantly though, we have been afforded the opportunity to make music that genuinely represents the unique chemistry that brought us together in the first place. It's the same chemistry that has kept us together through a chapter that most bands would never have survived.

"Very shortly, the web site will be shut down and we'll be moving on. We just completed a batch of new tunes that were co-produced by former STEREOMUD bassist Corey Lowery. The songs sound amazing, and it brings us great relief to leave the past behind while moving forward into what we know will be a bright future. We're starting to actively shop a new record deal, and we feel confident that ONE FOR NOTHING will make the kind of splash that we always wanted for ETHER SEEDS. We hope to start a web site at www.onefornothing.com and book some shows in short order. However, the pace will be slow and steady, so please hang in there while we build this new band from the ground up.

"A deep and sincere thanks goes out to all of those who supported us through the good and the bad. Some of you guys hung in there even when the lights were off and crickets were chirping. We are appreciative beyond what words can express. The record we made as ETHER SEEDS and the fans we met along the way will always mean the world to us. Please stick with us as we create something that we think you are all really going to enjoy. This new music is very close to our hearts and we hope that it will be close to yours too. See you soon."
