EUROPE Launches Studio Blog

December 1, 2008

Swedish hard rockers EUROPE will return to the studio this winter to begin recording their eighth studio album for an early 2009 release. The band says, "We invite YOU to visit the new Europetheband blog between December 8 and December 10, and enjoy direct updates, interviews, pics and video! It promises to provide some fire to melt the winter freeze... so do not miss this rare and unique opportunity to see history in the making!"

Fan-filmed video footage of EUROPE's performance at the Interpeñas Metal festival, which was held October 10 in Zaragoza, Spain, can be viewed below.

EUROPE released a new live album, "Almost Unplugged", in Sweden on September 17. The CD features a recording of the band's January 26, 2008 concert at Nalen in Stockholm. The band performed songs from its latest CD, "Secret Society", along with some of its classic hits. The show was broadcast live over the Internet on the official EUROPE web site.

"Secret Society" was released in the U.S. on November 7, 2006 via Sanctuary Records.
