EUROPE Sign With SANCTUARY RECORDS

Reunited Swedish hard rockers EUROPE have inked a deal with Sanctuary Records. The group's new studio album, "Start From the Dark", is scheduled for release on September 27 through T&T/Sanctuary.

The group's first collection of new material since 1991's "Prisoners In Paradise", "Start From the Dark" was produced by Kevin Elson (who had previously worked with EUROPE on their multi-platinum 1986 release, "Final Countdown") and is said to feature a "heavier" direction, in the vein of the group's earlier albums. The Japanese version of the album, due on September 22, will include live versions of "Seven Doors Hotel" and "Wings Of Tomorrow", recorded during the band's headlining appearance at this year's Sweden Rock festival in early June. A video for the group's new single, "Got to Have Faith", has been posted online at this location (Windows Media).
