EVAN SEINFELD's Wife Claims He Chose Porn Over Marriage
December 19, 2009According to the New York Post, it is being claimed in a new book that BIOHAZARD bassist/vocalist Evan Seinfeld chose his career as a porn actor over his marriage to adult-film star Tera Patrick.
In her new memoir, "Sinner Takes All", Patrick — who has not shot a new video since 2006 — says she told Seinfeld, her husband of seven years, that he had to give up starring in XXX-rated films if he wanted to stay married to her. After Seinfeld chose to keep pursuing his career as an adult-film star, the couple split in September.
Writes Patrick: "I said to Evan, 'I'm your wife, and that is the strongest bond two people should have, and that should come first. I've moved on from porn. And I want you to stop. You promised me you'd only do porn for a few years. Your few years are up.' "

In a recent interview with U.K.'s Metal Hammer magazine, Seinfeld was asked if he thinks it's hard to make a relationship work if you are involved in the adult industry. "I think it's tough to hold down a relationship, period!" he replied. "In America they reckon 68% of new marriages will end in divorce within three years. So the odds are not in your favor in ANY marriage. Is it harder in the adult business? I think it cuts a lot of the bullshit out of it. 'Civilians' [people not in any type of alternative lifestyle] have such a hang-up about sex and sexuality. For those people, if their wife/husband had sex with someone else in the relationship it would be over — it's a cardinal sin. I don't personally subscribe to those rules.
"I can't speak for women, but my primary programming, my hardwiring, my operating system is not one of monogamy. I want to have sex with any beautiful girl that I see. I even want to have sex with some girls that aren't beautiful once in a while. I'm not one to deprive myself, so if I want to do it, I do it. I need my partner — if you will — to be the kind of person that understands that sex can just be sex; love is a lot more. The adult industry really cuts the bullshit out of it because if you're with a woman and we've both had sex with other people while we've been together it takes away that fear."
