EVANESCENCE Singer Meets Epileptic Teens In Glens Falls
June 6, 2007TimesUnion.com reports that EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee met with two upstate New York teens living with epilepsy before a performance at the Glens Falls Civic Center in April.
More than a year ago, Lee signed on with the Epilepsy Foundation to be the national spokesperson for the "Out of the Shadows" campaign, which is committed to helping raise epilepsy awareness and to raise money for education.
During the visit, Lee spoke about her 13-year old brother's epilepsy and about her band. She then autographed pictures for everyone and posed for photos.
"It's not every day that having epilepsy qualifies you for a meet-and-greet with Amy Lee," said Jeannine Garab, Epilepsy Foundation executive director.

Professionally filmed footage of EVANESCENCE's performance at the Rock am Ring festival on Sunday, June 3 in Nürburgring, Germany has been posted at YouTube.
EVANESCENCE's current touring lineup includes new members Will Hunt (drums) and Troy McLawhorn (guitar) from DARK NEW DAY.
EVANESCENCE's European festival appearances will be followed by late June shows in Russia, Greece, Turkey and Israel. The band will return home to begin co-headlining the Family Values tour with KORN on July 20 in St. Louis.
