EVANS BLUE Parts With Lead Singer

July 29, 2008

According to The Pulse of Radio, EVANS BLUE has parted with lead singer Kevin Matisyn over "musical differences." A statement issued by the Canadian group called Matisyn's work with them "incomparable," adding that they wish him success with his solo career. The band also said that they have "amazing new songs" and are "poised and ready to move forward," presumably after securing a new frontman. EVANS BLUE also recently parted ways with Hollywood Records and has yet to announce distribution plans for its next album once recording is complete.

EVANS BLUE's 2006 debut, "The Melody And The Energetic Nature Of Volume", has sold nearly 200,000 copies.

Its second album, "The Pursuit Begins When This Portrayal of Life Ends", failed to match the sales or radio airplay of the first.

Matisyn launched a new side project called PARABELLE earlier this year and posted three songs online, while also posting a solo track called "Viva Forever" at his personal MySpace page last month.
