EVERGREY's TOM ENGLUND To Guest On CHARACTERS Debut

July 15, 2013

CHARACTERS, the new band featuring former members of the Swedish modern rock/metal outfit ONE WITHOUT, will release its debut album, "Once They Bleed", on September 25.

In the beginning of April, CHARACTERS announced the addition of singer Marcus Bäckström and moved into a new studio facility in Gothenburg to begin recording its first CD.

Comments the group: "Ten new songs have now been recorded, and we couldn't be more satisfied with the result than we are.

"As we are recording in Joonas' [Niskanen, guitar] own Studio JN, the recording process has not been that stressful and pressed with a tight budget and a ticking clock than we are used to. Instead, we have taken the time to really enjoy the non-stressful environment, and put all our energy on making a kick-ass record! We also had the honor to have one of our heroes, and old tour buddy, Tom Englund (EVERGREY),to guest on vocals on one of the songs.

"It will be awesome to release this album, and we are really looking forward to it, and hear the response of the fans and media who know our origins.

"In about 2-3 weeks we will begin the mixing of the album.

"The album is produced, and will be mixed/mastered by Joonas Niskanen at Studio JN."

Marcus Bäckström - Vocals
Joonas Niskanen - Guitar, Programming
Olle Töpel - Drums
